About Monica

I have worn a variety of hats over the years, including that of a Registered Nurse. Five years after receiving my bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Colorado Denver, I decided it was time for a change and went back to school in my hometown of Salina, KS to get my Bachelor’s in Nursing – that was in 2008! In 2024, I hung up my nursing hat and became a licensed REALTOR®.

I believe a lot of my nursing skills, such as compassion and attention to detail, crossover to my real estate work. I also believe honesty and straightforward communication are the building blocks for a successful relationship. Buying and selling a home is a significant and often emotional endeavor. I will work hard for you, providing guidance and support from start to finish.

I am from Salina, KS and have been in Lawrence for 16 years. My husband and I fell in love with this town and thought it would be a wonderful place to settle down and raise a family. We currently live just outside of Lawrence with our two children and have a menagerie of animals – horses, donkeys, chickens, dogs, cats and even a goat! When I’m not caring for animals or kids, I enjoy making sourdough bread, pastries, pies, pasta – anything sourdough. I also enjoy travelling and exploring new places.  I look forward to the opportunity to share in the experience of buying or selling a home with you.

What clients say about Monica

I have had the pleasure of working with Monica for a couple of years now and can say that she brings a positive and uplifting energy to the workplace and those around her. Her life experience is unique and varied, which allows her to connect with a variety of people. I highly recommend getting Monica on your team as she is very much a valuable asset and true delight to work with. And don’t forget to ask her about her chickens.
