Brew-tiful Mornings: How Our Team Powers Up in Lawrence
Coffee is a must for many of us. It’s our little pick-me-up that keeps the day going. From the first cup in the morning to an afternoon boost, it helps us stay energized and focused. At Stephens Real Estate, lots of us have our go-to brew, and we love how it keeps us connected to the amazing community we call home.
Tom Harper’s coffee routine changes depending on his mood. He enjoys visiting different spots around town, with Nostalgia Room and LaPrima Tazza being among his top choices. But one of his favorite places is Espurresso Cat Café, where he can enjoy a delicious drink named after his cat, Franco. The Francocino is an espresso with cinnamon and white mocha. This particular coffee shop has a mission that Tom wholeheartedly supports: adopting adult cats.
Jan Miller says she loves all the coffee shops – especially the local ones. Her usual drink is a Flat White with a sprinkle of cinnamon as the perfect pick-me-up. For Laura Polite, simplicity is key. A Trenta Black Iced Tea from Starbucks, no sweetener, keeps her refreshed and ready to take on the day. Lauren Ballard is another fan of a no-frills coffee experience. She gravitates toward Sunflower Café, where she enjoys a black coffee, drip, Americano, or cold press. “It’s all about the strong, rich flavor,” she says. And while Justin Wilk may not have a single favorite coffee shop, he’s always on the lookout for the nearest one to satisfy his caffeine cravings. Convenience is king when it comes to his coffee routine.
Ahnya Lewis has a soft spot for 1900 Barker, where she orders a flat white with oat milk. It’s creamy, comforting, and the perfect way to fuel up for a busy day. Kylie Dister is all about Wheatfields, especially when cool whether rolls around. Their pumpkin spice lattes are a seasonal must for her, and they never disappoint. For Joanna Earl, her coffee choices change with the seasons, but right now she’s enjoying the Boujee Bee from Uplift Coffee. It’s the kind of drink that stands out in both name and flavor. And for Robyn Elder, tea is the drink of choice—specifically, an XL unsweetened iced tea with easy ice. “None of that pebble ice nonsense,” she adds with a smile.
The local coffee scene offers something for everyone, from bold espressos to refreshing iced teas and everything in between. Our agents love to support the shops around town, each one finding their favorite spot to unwind and recharge. So, next time you’re in the mood for a great cup of coffee (or tea), we’ve given you a few ideas about where to go. And if you’re ever in need of real estate advice or a local recommendation, our team at Stephens Real Estate is always here to help!
