Hope is creative, using her skills to renovate several of her own homes. She has helped friends and family create homes they adore as well. She loves that Lawrence still feels like a small town, no matter how big we grow. Hope is a people person for sure, and places great value in having fun and caring for others.
About Hope
Hope’s fondest memories of growing up in Lawrence happened at the 4-H fairgrounds. Even after moving away, she loved to return for the Douglas County Fair each summer. Her occasional southern drawl and her love of Mexican food are due to living in Texas for almost 20 years.
Being a Midwest girl at heart, Hope pursued an opportunity in a local Chamber of Commerce that brought her back to Kansas City. Her Chamber experiences developed her natural ability to foster relationships and connect with the community. Her personal interests in home decor and DIY projects came into fruition with the successful flipping of two personal homes. In addition, she was able to explore a career in residential building, project management, and the inner workings of a homeowner’s association for the past several years, providing proof that a personal interest can truly grow into a job. The knowledge gained from work experience and desire of cultivating relationships finally allowed her to accomplish a dream of working with Stephens Real Estate.
Soon after moving to Kansas City, Hope met her husband, Travis, a Jayhawk through and through. They eventually made the decision to start their family in Lawrence. They enjoy taking care of their farm animals, completing house projects, going out to eat downtown, and especially, spending time with their daughter and black lab. Hope truly believes “there’s no place like home” in Lawrence, and she can’t wait to help you find your home sweet home here, too!
